George FREENEY Jr. put Amazon aside for Family over Career.

As a Program Manager on Amazon.com’s category expansion team, George FREENEY Jr. provided technical leadership and expertise to large-scale e-commerce projects. He was responsible for gathering requirements, scheduling tasks, and developing detailed project plans, as well as communicating project status to stakeholders.

Some of his notable achievements include successfully launching the CD Now Subscription Service and Baby’s R Us store on the Amazon.com website. He also managed technical client integration deployments, ensuring that all deadlines were met.

Working at Amazon.com allowed George to apply his technical and project management skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and he is proud of the contributions he made to the company’s growth and success, but being new at the company, he didn’t have enough leave time and his boss refused to let him go to Austin, Texas after learning his mother was ill, so he quit.
