When Aaron FREENEY was born enslaved in 1847 in Monte Verdi Plantation, Cushing, Rusk County, Texas, his father, Daniel DEVEREUX, was 20 and his mother, Katy Devereux BRADLEY, was 28. He married his 1st Cousin Amy HENRY in 1870 in Rusk County, TEXAS. They had six children in 42 years. They were owned by Texas Legislator, Julien Sidney DEVEREUX.

Aaron FREENEY died in 1900 in Cherokee, Texas, at the age of 55. He is George FREENEY Jr’s 2nd Great-Grandfather, and shares the same Paternal Haplogroup E-Z6018.
