George Freeney Jr. is an accomplished African American photographer who started his business in 2013 while still a student at the Art Institute of San Antonio. With a passion for sports, corporate events, photojournalism, and travel photography, he quickly made a name for himself in the industry. Freeney paid his way through school as a photography instructor and sales specialist, providing one-on-one instruction and leading photowalks. He has collaborated with various organizations and developed programs that teach children the fundamentals of photography. His current focus is on his “Black STORIES Matter” project, which has earned him numerous awards and recognition within the industry. He was recently selected to participate in the 8th and 9th editions of the Eyes on Main Street Photography Festival and has been featured in various exhibitions and publications.

George FREENEY Jr. was the Manager of a team responsible for subscription-based user experiences for Real.com and SuperPass. He exceeded subscriber projection goals by 19% in year one and grew the subscriber base from 150,000 to 750,000 in just 15 months. He also worked as a Diversity Evangelist, executing strategies for finding, growing, and retaining diverse talent. George was a crucial member of a team responsible for managing high-profile client accounts and played a key role in managing the business deliveries that supported RealNetworks’ announcement as Oxygen Network’s exclusive streaming media technology provider. Additionally, he developed a new, scalable e-commerce system and collaborated with Product Owners, Software Engineers, and Creative Designers to design APIs and a promotional RealJukebox Skin.
