Narrative
In 2006, George Edward Jones discovers a family secret that his dad is not his biological father after 38 years. His aunt reveals that his mom had a relationship with an airman at Barksdale Air Force Base. This news shakes George's identity, and he feels the need to find his biological father. He spent weeks combing through phone books and what news clippings he could find. He seeked help from Dr. Phil to turn up the volume of his cause.
Dr. Phil offers to support George in finding his father. However, the promises made by Dr. Phil turn out to be empty, and George eventually learns from his brother George Edward FREENEY II, that his father's name is indeed George Edward FREENEY Sr. The knowledge about George's family was withheld by Dr. Phil's producers, who were unable to convince the family to appear on a follow-up show. George recalls a previous false alarm regarding finding his family, realizing that his family wanted to contact him during that time.
